EAST MEETS WEST
The Mining Metals/Oil & Gas Congress is pleased to present world-class speakers at the conference. Former Secretary of State, Madeleine K. Albright who served with US President Bill Clinton will be making the keynote address and opening the conference on Monday, October 30. Madeleine K. Albright served as the 64th secretary of state of the United States. In 1997, she was named the first woman secretary of state and became, to that time, the highest ranking woman in the history of the US government. As Secretary, Dr. Albright reinforced America's alliances, advocated democracy and human rights, and promoted American trade and business, labor, and environmental standards abroad.
Sheikh Walid Al Rawaf will be addressing both the mining and oil & gas sessions. He served on OPEC and was a founder of Petromin and spent 35 years holding various executive positions including petroleum exploration/production, international trade, and marketing. He has extensive experience in dealing with Western business.
These key presenters will talk about doing business between the East and West, addressing questions such as: What are the international business challenges companies face today? What needs to be better understood? What are the opportunities to doing business together? How do companies attain successful relationships with benefits to both sides?
Additionally, numerous industry analysts will be making presentations about different aspects of resource markets, commodities, and equities in the resource industries. A business panel with local Dubai executives will give comments on doing business in Dubai.
